About this opportunity
The HFSP Accelerator Grant allows a newly awarded HFSP Research Grant Program or Early Career team to add one scientist whose expertise brings a new component to the project. The additional member must lead an independent group in an eligible accelerator country and meet the program's institutional, country, independence, and concurrent-funding rules. Only principal investigators of research grants awarded in March 2026 are invited for the 2027 Accelerator Grant. Applications open in early July 2026 and close September 22, 2026; successful teams receive an additional $100,000 per year when the new member joins in project years two and three.
