Fellowship
Reuters Institute Journalist Fellowship Programme
Three- or six-month fellowships at the University of Oxford for practising mid-career journalists to research journalism and strengthen their work.
About this opportunity
The Reuters Institute Journalist Fellowship Programme is for practising journalists and editors who plan to return to journalism after the fellowship. Applicants normally need at least five years of journalistic experience; freelance journalists may apply, but public-relations and corporate-communications professionals are excluded. Fellowships last three or six months. Most are fully funded, covering fees, travel, visa costs, and a £2,000 monthly living stipend. Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are closed and are due to reopen in January 2027.
