Ramanujan Fellowship
A five-year, non-extendable fellowship for outstanding Indian and Indian-origin scientists and engineers working abroad who return to research positions in India.
About this opportunity
Host institutions nominate researchers under 40 who are working abroad and have an outstanding track record. Support is INR 135,000 monthly including housing, INR 700,000 annual research funding, and INR 60,000 annual institutional overhead for up to five years. Fellows must work at an Indian institution other than their doctoral institution and relinquish the award if they take a permanent, tenure-track, or contractual position.
