About this opportunity
John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships welcome journalists, independent reporters, journalism entrepreneurs, strategists, and innovators with at least five years of professional experience. The residential program runs from September through May and requires full participation. It provides a $130,000 stipend, Stanford tuition, and health insurance. It does not support degrees, book or reporting projects, public-relations work, government employees, or full-time academics. The deadline for the 2026-2027 fellowship has passed.
