The Guggenheim Fellowship supports mid-career individuals who have made notable contributions in more than fifty fields across the arts, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and interdisciplinary work. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents and may apply individually or in pairs. Previous Guggenheim Fellows are not eligible to apply again. The 2026 competition is closed; the Foundation says the 2027 competition will open in late summer 2026 with a revised schedule and instructions.
