Applicants must be adults and either Venezuelan nationals or foreign nationals resident in Venezuela. Projects must be original and unpublished, written in Spanish or a Venezuelan Indigenous language, and fall within the listed literary genres or film-research lines. Prior beneficiaries of any genre of this scholarship are excluded, as are active directors or workers of the Ministry of People's Power for Culture, people connected to evaluation or administration of the call, and recipients of national or international prizes. Institutional projects, projects already supported elsewhere, and projects entered in another competition are ineligible. Five scholarships are offered per literary genre and five film-research scholarships, one per listed research line. The benefit equals the integrated minimum income of workers and runs for six months, October 2026 through March 2027.
